I thought I was going to see a “rated X” when the screen turned to red at the end.
Speaking of movies, we (Ray, Bre, Robert, and Navarro, and I) all went to see Star Trek the other week. I think everyone liked it, except for Navarro who fell asleep.
I thoguht it was good again. Most likely will buy it on Blu. Like Bug’s Life.

I enjoyed it, but the whole time travel aspect seemed to be done very recklessly. I mean, DON’T THESE PEOPLE KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES OF TIME TRAVEL?!?
Still, I had fun.

Space Vision…pfft.
Speaking of which, I’m starting to get real tired of having to see some movies in 3D. It looks cool, but it’s just too fuckin’ distracting from the story. Therefore, I will be looking to see “Up” in a theater that doesn’t force the 3D on me. Perhaps the Cineramadome.
Anyone else have thoughts on 3D?

I say nay to to all this over the top “everything has too be in 3D / IMAX” Agree it looks cool. But in the wrong hands becomes too much of a gimmick, ie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaW7Y0IkJiU&feature=related. I too will probably watch UP un 3D-ified.

Captain EO was is 3D. I like Captain EO. I just took an inventory, and I found I have 102 games for 10 systems.

Captain EO is an exception since its main purpose was to be an audio and visual spectacle. It didn’t have to drag a story on for 90+ minutes, and it sure as hell wasn’t meant to be watched on my old 19″ Emerson.

Why do you always have to bring up your “19″ emerson?”

I don’t know, but I’m gonna start using it as a euphemism for my junk. Also sounds like a good band name.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you…”19-inch Emerson!”

My original comment was going to be something like “people love watching MY 19″ emerson on tv,” but then I thought to myself, that wouldn’t piss ray off. So I changed it to a completely false statement. You seemed to pick up on the joke, and stole my idea, thus, pissing me off.
We truly are brothers.

That we are.

19 inch Emerson = Nice.
I would have said 13 inch Magnovox, but that would have cemented that joke in the 90s. Are they even around anymore?
Oh had an interview today with certain company, i’m not at liberty to disclose whom. But lets just say it rhymes with tracehook.

Holy Shit! Chase Brook? As in Chase Brook software? Pretty cool.
Seriously, though, congratulations, and good luck! I hope you get the job.
And in case anyone was wondering, it took me about 5 minutes to find a legitimate company that rhymed.

Ray, did you sit there and Google several possibilites? Are was it bullseye first try? If not, what were other possibilities you attempted? Grace Nook realty? Mace Crook Self defense school? Thats enough I am tired. Not the time.

Mike, finally saw Suspiria the other day. WTF?! classic? epic?! it was so so. The only thing that made it above any typical Italian schloop’ the color and the 10% of the shots. And the first series of deaths, those were ridiculous in there over-the topness. Full review to come. on a side note, have you heard the new Zombi single? i i’ll post it up tomorrow. different. very different! but still awesome.
Anyways once. i hear something ill post it.
long comment, over

Ray, sorry about never calling you back. I…suck. Last week was pretty insane, many stories. Well, at least one really funny one. What were the dates you had mentioned? I think you said August? I’ll call tomorrow (really).

Hey Ryan, good to hear you’re still alive. Drop by often.

Hey, everyone!
I’m thinking of visiting Ryan in late August. (I’m going to try and take the Red-Eye on Thursday night, August 20th, and return home on Monday, August 24th.) Right now, plane tickets cost between $230 and $350 (round trip, of course), but I’m not buying tickets until late-June because I first need to ask for time off from work, and I already just got approval to get time off for Comic-Con. So, things aren’t definite, but I’m hoping for them to be. Anybody else interested?
